Default FS: 1991 MR2 Turbo T-top, Rebuilt Motor

Putting this up for sale and see what happens. Not sure what i want for it, lets just say $9kOBO. Here is a list of parts that were replaced within the last 10k miles...

New head from toyota
Rebuilt lower end w/ Weisco pistons bored .020 over
Hot tanked block
STD bearings
ARP bolts/studs
Resurfaced flywheel
Exedy clutch
All new toyota gaskets
3 layer head gasket
CT20B turbo
MBC
New timing belt and tensioner
new MAF
Aftermarket wires
93 shifter
TRD shift knob
Boost gauge and water gauge
Pioneer Headunit (retail is $400 on this)
NGK plugs
K&N intake
3" Downpipe
Mod. B-pipe (stock muffler)
New starter and alt.
All heater hoses replaced
new thermostat
New waterpump
New heater core
New calipers
New shifter cables
H4 headlights
EGR blockoff plate
Both speedo cables replaced

there are more things, as I have receits for like 95% of this stuff. Head alone was $2k+ All of this was done within the last 10k miles or so. mostly sooner.

Paint was done at maaco and cost about $800. Its not perfect, but you get a 4yr warranty with it against chips/cracks/fade. I did all prep myself.

Needs e-brake cables as I will install those before sale. Also has 16" FD wheels in the rear with good tires, and have the other 2 as well. They need spacers in the front to make them clear the calipers. These run about $75. Or put the 2 stockers back on.

Interior is VERY nice. Small wear mark on driver seat/bolster but thats it. T-tops have a little leak in heavy rain. Doesnt leak when driving, just when the car is sitting. You can feel the carpet gets damp on pass. side.

Im flexable on price, so throw some cash at me and see what i will take.

$6995 is the lowest I will go with the economy being horrible. Any less and I rather just keep it.

This car will be up for sale again soon. It stalled on me, and wouldnt start. Acted like a fuel pump. Stalled 3 times on me before it wouldnt start again. It cranks, has fuel, and spark. Im taking $2k and dropping it off at a toyota specialist and having him fix whatever it is. It could be a very simple fix costing very little, or could be as major as a motor (very doubtful). Either way, it will be fixed and sold for $6995 in perfect running condition. I may also fix some of the minor stuff, and repaint the door jams the color of the exterior (jams are crimson red).

It has either 104k or 114k on the clock. I forget which.

Thanks. I'll just keep it untill it sells. Few WTB adds on craigslist, and around the area. SHouldnt be to hard to sell it in this condition.

Didnt get to drop it off because of the snow. Im not taking it to the dealership, its a guy that works at a shop in ephrata that specializes in toyota. He told me over the phone it sounds electrical, and has a few ideas.

On the road for 2 days, and had a guy follow me, and wants the car. He is comming over the next nice day to test drive it and said he will bring the cash. So if he doesnt take it, then yes its still for sale. So for right now, pending sale.

The guy called said he would call yesterday to make plans. Never called..... I just posted it on craigslist for $6500 had a few e-mails, most saying they dont have that much cash, and they can give me $5k, $4500, $5100, ect. Turned them all down.

Turboforum price - $5900

At this point i'll sell it for that because it needs a few basic items for inspection. If no hits at $5900, then i'll fix it, inspect the car, and wet sand and buff the car and try again at $6500. Im having fun with the car, so in no hurry to sell it. Should crack off some deep 13 second times as she sits. Maybe even touch a 12.99

It now has a bad valve, and needs it replaced, or another head. It runs, but sounds like the valve broke in the head. Offer me something, and come take it away. Im not fixing it this time.

A used head can be gotten for $200-300. The head/valves was the only stock part on the motor, and was wondering how it was going to hold up..... it didnt.

Any offers?
