Default Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT steering wheel control solution?

My installer completed the installation of the AVIC-Z110bt last night. We replaced all the speakers, factory sub, added two amps,MSN direct,Sirius and backup camera. The sound quality is nothing short of amazing compared to the factory setup. Our only issues is we cant seem to find the correct adapter that will allow us to retain usage of the steering wheel control. PAC makes a Pioneer adapter for the 2003-2007 E class. Im hoping this solution will work. Does anyone have a steering wheel volume control solution for this issue. Here is a quick pic i took in the dark last night will post better pics today.

i doubt they make much sales for cars like yours hence why there arent any on the market. if the e class adapter doesnt work, you may be able to modify (or hire someone too) it to work.

great hu btw

I actually contacted PAC and they assured us that the 2006 E class adapter will work. When the car gets back for Eurocharged im going to have the adapter installed. We have to dampen the rear deck it rattles a little at times. My installer didn't realize that when i said replace ALL the speakers that meant the tweeters as well Regarding the AVIC all i can say is WOW.

interesting thread.
I have a Volvo and although the stereo in it is superb, I would have loved to swap the head unit for this model. However I was concerned with if i would lose control over the steering wheel controls.
I didnt realize they made units to interface them (even though this day in age, it should be assumed)

PAC seems to be the authority in head unit to steering wheel interfaces. The AVIC-z110bt is very very impressive to say the lest. The blue tooth connectivity is awesome. If i dont want to use my ipod cable i can bluetooth music directly to the AVIC from my iphone. Pioneer has a Iphone app that allows you to sync the AVIC to pics taken with the ipone and the navigation will guide you to where the picture was taken. Out of everything im currently doing to the car the AVIC along with the audio upgrades is the most satisfying. I have never had a *good* system in any car. You know with all new speakers subs and amps. The sound compared to what im used to is phenomenal.
